Ron is an experienced emergency management and natural resource professional with extensive expertise in wildfire preparedness, emergency operations, forestry, utilities, and community resilience. Combining more than three decades of operational and project management experience with advanced academic training in disaster and emergency management, Ron helps organizations and communities strengthen their readiness for complex hazards and emerging environmental risks.
Throughout their career, Ron has worked at the intersection of emergency management, wildfire operations, critical infrastructure, and environmental stewardship. Their experience includes incident command, emergency operations centre support, wildfire mitigation, risk reduction planning, environmental monitoring, and major project coordination in both public and utility-sector environments.
A recognized subject matter expert in wildfire resilience and preparedness, Ron has led and supported the development of Community Wildfire Resiliency Plans (CWRPs), FireSmart initiatives, vegetation management programs, and operational response activities. Their practical understanding of field operations, emergency coordination, and stakeholder engagement enables them to bridge strategic planning with operational implementation.
